AQUA CLASSES

AQUA AEROBICS
Each water aerobics class includes a warm-up, cardio and strength-training exercises, and a cool down.

Aqua Cardio & Core
A shallow water, low impact, cardiovascular challenge to improve your core strength & balance.

Aquatics Stretching
Basic Yoga poses are performed in a warm pool as the water supports your body for deeper stretches. This class is designed to help core stability, endurance, flexibility, and range of motion while leaving you with a feeling of tranquility.

AQUA AEROBICS
Cardio Dance
This choreographed dance is a fusion of Latin and international music and dance that creates a dynamic, exciting, and effective cardio workout.

Chair Aerobics/Cardio
Chair workouts can strengthen your arms, core, hips, and legs. It's great for older adults with balance issues or injuries.

Chair Strengthening
This low-intensity workout combines cardio, strength, and flexibility, all modified to a seated position. It is a perfect exercise class for seniors, those just starting an exercise routine, those with balance issues, those recovering from an injury or surgery, or anyone who needs a very low-intensity workout.

Chair Yoga
This is a practice that is beneficial to all. In these classes, you will use the support of the chair to arrive in yoga poses, move, breathe & ultimately feel good! Benefits of chair yoga include increased mobility, increased strength, stretch of the body, reduced stress, reduced pain & clearing of the mind.

Falls Prevention
Designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. Participants learn to view falls as controllable, make changes to reduce fall risk at home, and exercise to increase strength and balance.

General Strengthening
Class Embark on a transformative adventure tailored just for you – our cherished seniors. Bodyworx introduces a specially crafted Strengthening Program designed to invigorate your mind, body, and spirit. At the heart of our mission is a commitment to celebrating our golden years with vibrancy and joy.

Hip Hop Dance
Hip Hop is the pinnacle of self-expression. Classes include warm-up, moving across the floor, style explorations (popping, locking, waving, gliding, etc.), and freestyle circles. These classes are for dancers who like self-expression, physical challenges, and healthy competition.

Line Dance
Choreographed dance in which a group of people dance along to a repeating sequence of steps while arranged in one or more lines or rows.

Line/Swing Out Dance
This choreographed dance class features a combination of social dances that developed with the swing style of jazz music in the 1920s–1940s, with the origins of each dance predating the popular "swing era". This class is dedicated to vintage swing dances, like Lindy Hop, Charleston, Blues, Balboa, and more!

Mix/Body Bands
This is a strength training workout that combines flexibility and cardiovascular conditioning using free weights, resistance bands, and your own body!

Pilates
This class focuses on strength, stability, posture, proper breath control, and flexibility. Each class will work to balance all muscle groups' strength and flexibility, with an emphasis on challenging the core muscles with each movement. Classes will be taught using slow, controlled movements.

Senior Aquatic Wellness Class
Feel the gentle resistance of the water as you engage in low-impact exercises designed to boost flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular health. Our Bodyworx instructors will guide you through a series of movements that cater to all fitness levels, ensuring a tailored experience for each participant.

Spin
Indoor cycling focuses on endurance, strength, intervals, high intensity (race days), and recovery and involves using a special stationary exercise bicycle with a weighted flywheel in a classroom setting.

Step Aerobics
Step is a classic cardio workout. It's lasted for decades for a simple reason: It delivers results. The "step" is a 4-inch to 12-inch raised platform. You step up, around, and down from the platform in different patterns to boost your heart rate and breathing and strengthen your muscles.

Step Into Safety: Mobility/Safety Walk Class
Your safety is our top priority! Bodyworx’s program incorporates safe walking practices, accompanied by expert guidance from our dedicated team. From warm-ups designed for your unique needs to tips for maintaining balance and posture, every step is a confident stride toward a healthier lifestyle.

Yoga
Each class starts with a flowing series to warm up the spine and heat up the body, followed by a series of held postures to build strength, stability, and stamina. The class ends with gentle stretches to improve flexibility.

Zumba
Zumba is an interval workout. The classes move between high- and low-intensity dance moves designed to get your heart rate up and boost cardio endurance.
